First Visit

Your first visit will include a thorough consultation with Dr. Brandy where she will get to know more about your health status, goals, and questions. You will also receive a examination to evaluate your musculoskeletal and nervous system function using our Insight CLA scanning technology. Lastly, we will go over the details of your scans and you will receive an adjustment the same day.

CLA Insight Scans

CLA Insight Scans are a series of tests that are non-invasive, painless, require no radiation and are safe to use even for babies and pregnancy. In our office we use this test to show you the underlying nervous system component to the symptoms you may be expressing.

These three scans allow us to see how well your nervous system is responding and adapting to everyday stress. These stressors can be physical, chemical, and emotional.

neuroTHERMAL

Thermal rolling scan measures temperature differences along the spine. This gives us insight into areas of inflammation (that tend to have a higher temperature. This lets us know how well our nervous system is communicating with our organs, glands, and tissues

Static Electromyography (sEMG)

Static Electromyography measure the levels of tension within the postural muscles around the spine. This gives us insight into how much energy your nervous system is exhausting into maintaining your everyday posture.

Heart Rate Variability
(HRV
)

Heart Rate Variability measures how well your nervous system is regulating between the sympathetic (fright and flight) and the parasympathetic nervous system (rest & digest). This lets us know how well are your adapting to stress.

Policies

Insurance

Our philosophy at TWH is that we believe in restoring health from the "inside out" instead of the "outside in" paradigm. The insurance model follow a "sick care" mindset that focuses on a quick fix. At TWH we represent a vitalistic healthcare model that detects and corrects the underlying issues with nervous system based adjustments. Many insurance companies will not cover chiropractic for children, and we believe that it is essential for children to recieve Chiropractic care to prevent injured adults. Insurance companies tend to determine how we can care for you based on policies and that does not align with our philosophy of providing the very best care to our patients.   However, to accommodate for being out of network with insurance we have very affordable prices and membership plans to provide the entire family with chiropractic care.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made via phone or email up to 2 hours before our appointment time will not be charged. No shows will be charged the 50% amount of the service booked using the payment information on file.

Therefore to best accomodate and respect the time of other practice members, if you are more than 10 minutes late for your appointment you may be asked to reschedule your appointment and will be charged 50% of the price of your visit.

Financial Policy

We accept cash, credit cards, and debit cards, care credit cards (including HSA and Flex Spending cards). Payment is due at the time of service.

Medicare (Part B) policy

If you are a Medicare beneficiary, you understand that our licensed chiropractors are not enrolled as Medicare providers. Medicare has onerous technical and administrative requirements that must be met for services to be considered medically necessary covered benefits. We believe those requirements take unnecessary time away from the services we provide. Since we are not enrolled providers, we cannot submit claims to Medicare and Medicare will not pay for our services even though the same services might be paid by Medicare if you obtained them from a Medicare enrolled provider. Therefore, by choosing our services, you are exercising your right to privacy and electing, of your own free will, not to use your Medicare benefits. As such, you are agreeing to pay cash at the time of service for all services you elect to receive from us with no expectation that Medicare will reimburse you. You understand that we will not submit claims to Medicare on your behalf or provide you with a statement or billing codes that you can submit to Medicare yourself. If you want Medicare to pay for services that might be considered covered benefits, you should seek those services from a Medicare enrolled provider. If you decide at any point after you start services with us that you want Medicare to pay for the services it covers, we will be happy to recommend a Medicare enrolled provider and terminate your services with us. You also understand that since we are not enrolled Medicare providers, our services are not subject to Medicare’s maximum allowable charge. You agree that you, your caregivers, family members, authorized representatives or power of attorney will not, under any circumstance, submit our claims, invoices, receipts or statements to Medicare for reimbursement or to obtain a denial for a Medicare supplemental insurance plan. Even if your Medicare supplemental insurance plan, Medicare Advantage Plan (MAP), or commercial insurance plan will reimburse you for medically necessary services by providers not enrolled with Medicare, we do not provide a letter stating we are not enrolled as a Medicare provider or a statement for submission. These plans often require you to obtain a denial from Medicare before it will pay for your services, but we cannot submit a bill to Medicare merely to get a denial because we are not enrolled providers.
